Where do your graduates go to high school?
Our graduates go to many different schools, both public and private. We guide them and their parents with high school placement. Our graduates are consistently accepted in their first choice high school.
Do you give standardized tests?
We administer the Stanford Achievement Test to all 3rd through 7th grade students each April. Scores are excellent across all subjects and grade levels. Scores are reported to parents with both National and Independent School norms.
Do you have tuition assistance?
Tuition assistance is awarded according to need to preschool through 8th grade families.
What does it mean to be an Independent School?
Independent Schools are "Independent" because they have distinct missions and are primarily supported by tuition payments, charitable contributions and endowment revenue. They are governed by an independent board of trustees and not subject to federal regulations.
Are you an accredited school?
We are accredited by the Independent School Association of Central States (ISACS), and are a member of the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) and the National Association of Episcopal Schools (NAES). Independent school accreditation is much more thorough, with more demanding standards, than the state accreditation programs were when they accredited independent schools.
Do you have religion classes?
We celebrate our faith by starting each day with either a divisional or all-school chapel lesson that is developmentally appropriate for the children. We also emphasize life skills and community service with our students. Two-week comparative religion classes are taught in seventh and eighth grade.
What is your average class size?
- Toddlers - 24 with four teachers
- Preschool - 32 with four teachers
- Prekindergarten - 42 with four teachers
- Kindergarten - 45-48 with five teachers
- 1st grade to 8th grade - 19-22 in each class, 40-44 in a section
What is the student-teacher ratio?
About 10:1. This number is taken by dividing all teaching personnel by the number of students. Actual class ratios are illustrated above.
What makes your school different from all the rest?
We offer a superior academic curriculum in a unique atmosphere fostering religious education and character development. Treating others in the fashion they wish to be treated is central to our mission. Foreign language is taught from toddler through eighth grades. The arts (creative and performing) are integral parts of our curriculum. Caring faculty really know their students and families. Parent involvement is encouraged.
